Are the Official API and Cloud API the same thing?
In practice yes: the Cloud API is Meta's hosted version of the official API. It is the standard path today, with no self-managed server.
Do I need a BSP to use the API?
You need an authorized provider to connect and operate. Chatsac fills that role and handles Business Manager verification.
What is the 24-hour window?
If the contact wrote in the last 24 hours, you can reply with free text. Outside that window, only Meta-approved templates.
Who bills for messages?
Meta, in your Business Manager, at the published rate. Chatsac only charges the platform fee.
Do I need a new WhatsApp number?
No. You use the same number, now on the Official Meta API.
Is it official? Can my number be banned?
Yes, we are a Tech Provider on the Official Meta API. No platform promises immunity: Meta enforces the policy. On the official API you operate authorized and see the number quality.
